crying out over the sound
the highway passed above us
we were planted in the ground
the laughter and the cinnamon
bring me to a closer place than Heaven
where the children dance
in the rain again
and the rainbows are only shades of white
they dance the dangerous dance
climb to the top of the pile
and look down
as she pulls the plastic trigger
and the whole world falls
in pieces at her feet
she sings like a windchime
blowing in the wind on Christmas Day
watching the sunset on the beach
somewhere in the Pacific
There are no daisies for me
only superstitions here
and i weep in color
everytime it snows.
