we gaze at the moon
as though gazing into a crystal ball
seeking answers to questions yet unasked
we wish upon stars
trusting in them to deliver into our waiting hands
our hearts desire
we cast our prayers to the heavens
offering them in faith to the great I AM
we lift our eyes to the mountains
from whence comes our help
we turn our face to the sun
basking in it's warming glow
always looking up
believing that all good things come
from above and beyond this earthly plane
out of our grasp, beyond our control
but do we not carry the answers within?
do we not have the stars to guide us, not give?
is not the great I AM our own spirit?
can not the mountains inspire us to help ourselves
and the sun replenish our souls with its energy?
we have the power to bring about change
we have the strength to endure
we have the will to survive
we have ourselves
