Midnight again in these familiar gardens
Quiet evening becomes the morning
Dancing faery appears in the mist
Moonlight illuminates the shades

Light colors of petals lay all around
Array of everything rivals Eden
A thousand and one reasons to smile
Rainbow path along the grasses

Cherished and loved treasure of treasures appears
Healthy and fullest lips from across the way play together
She bites them more seductively than I've seen
Eyes diamond blue compliment the moon

Radiance in a portrait
My mind in awe
A heart has fallen from my conscience

Streaks of gold lay against her shoulders
Images of endless fields of wheat overcome me,
Filled with a glow I've not known in all my years
Tones I've never known

An intensity suddenly extracts my attention
An intensity brings me to my knees...

With a step forward she comes completely from the shadows
where the magnolias grow
She floats as an angel
One of the few without wings
Red is the dress that flails around her delicate body

As a fairytale happens we dance for hours
Birds command a symphony of music
The garden and moon turn a ballroom
Beauty looms quietly in the background

A timeless and memorable kiss ends the night,
Invites the morning that is perpetual
Intruding sun becomes the moment
And my midnight princess digresses back between the pages
where I discovered her

Eternally waiting is she,
Where the magnolias grow in the garden
Where it all started...
Under the bookcover of fantasy I'll cherish forever
