Disciplinary Action / Warning Letters
Looking for a format for employee discipline or a warning letter for employee non-performance? Employers must put employee discipline in writing in a warning letter or other disciplinary action form or letter. Documentation of employee discipline is critical for fairly informing an employee of performance problems and for creating a trail of documentation for potential legal actions. Recording discipline in the employment file or in a disciplinary warning letter is an employer best practice.
