to be held next year. I know this question has been asked on many other boards, but what kinds of things do you want to see in a new pageant system. Fairness is #1 in my book, but I would like to get everyone elses input.

- it's not if you have experience, it's if you have sense, have ethics, think about the contestant's point of view, and put yourself in her place. Lately, it's the judges panels that are killing these things, so be careful. Set your rules, stick to them, do not change things, keep it simple, short, stop the optionals, stop the 100 divisions, have a great sash and crown, and do it! -- just want someone with sense, is all, 15:03:48 07/03/12 Tue

- you sound like you have it on the ball already. If you have competed, then you have been on the inside, and that is number one in my book. You KNOW what we want. You've heard and read all the complaints. Be true, be honest, do your best to make it first class, even if it's small and short. Make it QUALITY, not quantity. We dont need trips and outings, we need solid fun, competition, and great marketing. We need a director that CAREs and doesn't drop the ball after the pageant and forget us. Keep your promises, offer a couple NICE prizes, no need for a boat load of junk. Make it reputable, desirable, and the highest integrity you can hold on to. -- been to all of them, 02:24:47 07/04/12 Wed
- PLEASE no titles with "Woman" or "Classic" in them! Those titles are lame lame lame..... (NT) -- Don't use titles that women have to explain to people, keep them simple!, 12:53:33 07/03/12 Tue
- I would love a pageant where I just showed up to have fun and compete. Nice crown and sash, a cash prize more than the entry fee, and no non-compete clause or mandatory number of appearances. (NT) -- Not sure if others share my view, though., 20:50:28 07/03/12 Tue
- You ladies are giving me such good tips. Thanks for all of your help thus far (click in) -- Future Pageant Owner, 22:36:34 07/03/12 Tue
- Any ideas as far as names for the pageant itself? I am having the hardest time thinking of one that isn't already taken, or that doesn't sound silly. Any input would be greatly appreciated, as I'm at my wit's end trying to figure this one part out! (NT) -- Future Pageant Owner, 14:04:00 07/05/12 Thu
- I went through this last year, and it's the hardest part of all. There are old pageant names that aren't being used any more - look into that for one thing. Use America, National, and prestigious words. Stay away from fantasy words that seem like kiddie titles. Don't want to trash, but I don't care to walk around in a sash that says I"m a Dream or a Conservative, or Royal Exquisite Elite Universal Classic Woman of the Year. Choose carefully, cause your queens walk around in these things! People make fun. There are old ones like American Queen, National Mrs, America's Woman of the Year, stuff that isn't so fruity. And SIMPLE. (NT) -- keep on going!, 02:30:48 07/06/12 Fri
- Please, NO dance routine. Just have ladies walk out in a nice criss-cross pattern. Learning a dancing routine takes up too much time, is stressful, and makes most ladies look awful. (NT) -- No more dancing :), 09:04:05 07/10/12 Tue
- Here are the names I am considering: National Mrs, American States, Royal America, United Mrs, National American. Let me know your thoughts or any other ideas for names you may have (click in) -- Future Pageant Owner, 22:22:46 07/21/12 Sat
