ich kann mich noch recht gut daran erinnern, denn ich kannte es nicht anders in meiner kindheit und jugendzeit. sowohl die hausärztin hat mich rektal gemessen, als auch meine mutter daheim. ok, es gab eine phase, da hab ich es gehasst wie die pest. ich habe mich geschämt und war richtig wütend. das war so zu beginn meiner teenagerjahre. doch meine mutter blieb hartnäckig und bestand auf das fiebermessen im after, setzte sich auch schliesslich durch.

aus heutiger sicht aber bin froh, dass sie konsequent blieb und sich nicht hat davon abbringen lassen. denn wie ich heute weis, ist die messung im po die einzig zuverlässige methode, welche genaue messwerte bringt. ich würde es daher jedem empfehlen, grundsätzlich rektal zu messen, auch wenn es aufwändiger ist und manchmal ein wenig unangenehm sein kann.
ich nehm es meiner mutter keineswegs übel und sehe es nicht als kindesmissbrauch an, was manche vielleicht heute dazu sagen würden. wenn ich manchmal krank gewesen bin, hat sie viel liebe und fürsorge zu teil werden lassen, sowie weder zeit noch mühe gescheut. dafür sei ihr noch mal herzlich gedankt - auch für das fiebermessen im popo.
