"Pride will only get in my way," Noni reminds herself, under her breath. "It never serves."
Nerves get in her way, too, and she's not entirely sure what to do. It takes visible effort, her mouth twisted into a slight grimace and furred brows lowered, to hold onto the light. She manages to calm herself by closing her oddly luminous eyes and thinking of the possibilities of what to do with it, and it ceases its erratic flickering.
Slowly, the ball twists itself into the shape of... a Korat, black by build, though certainly not color, a bladed female. Then it dissapears suddenly, and Noni redraws. Practice makes it much easier, even a ridiculously small amount of practice. This time, she tries for something a little less ambitious. Instead of the Korat reappearing, the ball extends and branches out into a bunch of large leaves hanging from a small branch.
