Subject: Save us all from pyscho tans.

Feeling the thwack to his rib wall, the youngster flinches but doesn't complain, biting back a grumbling snap at Tew. After all, he WAS the master, however mentally unstable that might make him. When he feels the rush of wind from Tew's leap he gives his speed a decrease to avoid a possible collision or swipe from a rogue tail blade.

And then Tew STOPS abruptly, and it all comes to Jurama exactly why one doesn't suddenly brake in chase. It oculd result in a very bad accident. Trying to stop now wasn't an option, so he gathers his hindlimbs under him and leaps valiantly to the side, twisting his back end to avoid anything. Although he clears Tew without touching him, his landing is anything but stable. His jump had landed him a few lengths away from the stationary tan, but not on all fours. Front paws sliding right off the bark, his blade snags in the thick trunk, hind legs scabbling for purchase. After about a second of this ungainly position, he finally hauls up his front end, freeing his blade and bounding off again, these occurences blending into one action.

Okay, so an unexpected halt isn't good to have in the cards. Point taken. Keeping his eyes on the fleeing runner, he powers on a little more speed, trying to ignore the slight burning that tickles his rib wall to signal his tiring.
