Baru is careful to contain the instinctive snarl as she feels the prick of teeth drawing blood from her neck-flesh, and while at the moment, her thick, scorched fur kept these jaws from doing any severe damage, the thin lines of red that trickled down the blackened white fur kept her aware of her limited options of head movement. Instead, her tail slammed against the branch upon which Jhael stands and both breaks the wooden perch, and slows her attack. This is just enough to fling the unhindered long-claw up in such a manner that unless this new challenging black lets go, she will recieve a foot straight through the skull. As for the blasts of gold, a swiftly aimed fore-paw sends two blasts of silver energy up, slicing through the golden spear, and splitting it into two angled attacks, which hit nothing but the desecrated earth below.
