The Pack Leader leaps at an angle to the left, sensing the deadly attack literally nanoseconds before it could leave her in two peaces of bloody flesh. Her leap however, sends her directly into a tree, which she begins to climb instantly with only the slightest break in pace, leaping from tree to tree as necessary to gain altitude and keep Shula within her sights.

Ejiro has no time to worry about his mate's condition as every possible thought within his mind is to hold the focus of his opponents movements, deadly and difficult for even the slightest error would be picked up and taken advantage of by a master. Tew also had an advantage in energy, and Ejiro knew better than to try and out-run, for the tan could either catch him in minutes and they'd be back again, or more likely, he'd take after Eciwis and stop her from reaching Shula. No, this was not a battle to win, merely a time-game at this point.

Kyval's mind reels as he both sees and feels the lives of so many of his packmates stolen away by members of Shula's pack. And for what? To stop the destruction of prey-beasts? He had yet to catch the scent of the beast who had killed the carcasses found along the terra! So why were they killing these? ENOUGH! The tan slows his pace and careens out of the territory at top speed... desperate to find the beast who did this, kill them, and end the madness!
