Subject: **death**
In reply to: Murave, Ayrist, and Baru 's message, "Fury..." on 21:13:05 06/13/04 Sun

I warned you.

The voice is of death incarnate, of keen-eyed and frigid fury, of a baleful promise kept. Teal light floods the black's tall, well-built frame--a waterfall of bluish radiance spilling from wide, sharp eyes. Not many Korats can control their power when they have seemingly lost their minds; Atumi is one of few.

The pack second twists away from his slow stalk of Bameduth, thoughts of the other energy master cast aside as his senses report the attack on li'dyn, and he erupts in a surprisingly fleet sprint through the trees and downwards. The sense of death, of destruction, of the flora stains his paws with invisible tendrils of faded green, and a silent snarl bares ivory fangs. Too much rage and pain has flooded the male's system and mind for too long--thoughts have passed into uselessness, as have limitations. He should be tired--he is not. He should be focusing on the more dangerous of the two energy-users--he is not.

He should heed the cry for peace--he does not.

The mingling of white and silver energies is pale compared to the brilliance of Murave's emerald-hued light, but that seems naught but a shadow as Atumi springs down to the three's level--water-hued luminance floods the area in blinding, unshaking waves. The younger black breaks off his attack on the two femmes, leaving them to recover as much as they can from their efforts, and turns his shining eyes to the older male.

Murave laughs, a mirthless sound as two more trees topple to the forest floor. He's killed almost two dozen by now. His sleek jaws part, a breath is taken in preparation to blast this stranger into oblivion--

A shattering sound echoes through the energy-lit forest as a velvet-grey tailblade delivers a crushing blow with the blunt edge to Murave's jaws. Half of the male's muzzle falls in bloodied pieces at his forepaws, and a scream of pure agony slices through the momentary silence. Grey eyes lit with toxic green light lock onto the older black, pupils dilated in horrified fury and excruciating pain, and a wave of unformed energy surges towards Atumi--

I warned you. You should not have touched him.

Then, the too-calm voice switches targets and slips into Baru's and Ayrist's minds. Close your eyes and turn your heads. This will be bright.

The wave of green is inches from the 'second's unscarred snout, and he lifts his head high as it roars closer--

The neon jade energy crashes into the still male full-force, funneling into his body and casting an unnerving green aura around him--

Then, the green light fades, and a shuddering can be felt more than heard amongst the trees. The particular tree that Atumi himself killed seems to straighten, and the glow of life and health returns to its leaves and bark. The black master grins madly, an intensity in his expression that's almost frightening, and Murave--blood pouring from his shattered, halved jaws--prepares another attack.

You should not have touched him.

What seems like teal lightning arches from the warrior's eyes, countered only strenuously by two bolts of poison-green. Teal eyes meet those of green-stained grey, and Atumi pauses--crouches--roars without sound.

A bolt of water-hued life, wider than most Korats are long, surges forth with unparalleled force. When the blinding brilliance fades, no trace of Murave is left, and no foliage has been harmed.

The black male turns, aura dying swiftly, and glances towards the two females. "If you will," he murmurs to Ayrist, voice a little hoarser than usual, "care for Zrego until this situation is resolved. Erashun will heal him after Eciwis and her pack leave."

Without another word, Atumi launches himself into the heights again and heads slowly, deliberately towards Bameduth. Thoughts have returned, and with them, indescribable exhaustion--but he will kill this last Korat, and then, he will rest.
