Flinching as Tew's talk hits home to his furiously pounding heart and tired lungs, Jurama forces himself to slow to a sane pace, or at least semi-sane. Rocketing at the trunk, he springs off of it and grabs at a higher branch, using that paw hold to get to a branch above, continuing this until he is high above in branches too fragile to hold reds but just acceptable for tan running.

Loping along loosely, his tail helps to balance his movements through the trees. Half hoping they would just catch him already, he vows to not make it easy just because he is ready to fall out of the trees with exhaustion. That would be unsportsman (Korat?) like of him. Smirking to himself, he drops altitude fast, using the rapid downward drops to increase his speed as he dips far below the chasers, his tail assuring that he doesn't go too fast and fall tail over snout. The roots visible beneath his bark-worn paws and the ragged limbs he is running, he shoves and springs among the very thick lower branchs.
