Sorry weve been away for a while but we had some big changes! Remember we told you that were not living with our Dad any more cause hes sick with drinking and stuff. Well, our Dad is still sick and he lost his job a while ago and since I was born Moms been a stay at home Mom so we were having problems with money so we were living with our Papa and Nana (theyre Moms Mom and Dad). A few weeks ago, a old friend of Moms from college offered her a job at this resort place in Illinois. It has a hotel (they call it a lodge) and a bunch of little cabins you can rent out. At first Mom will be working with her friend from college while she learns all the stuff she needs to know, then the friend is leaving and Mom will do her job by herself. Mom is kind of on duty all the time, so we get to live right in the resort! We got a real nice cabin with two bedrooms and a big kitchen. Its even got a fireplace! Mom had to take the job right away, so we had to pack up in a hurry and get down there. Sorry we didnt tell you guys what was goin on but it all happend real fast and we were all real excited. We live too far away to go back to our old school, but Moms friend helped her find a Christian school kind of like our old one. Its smaller than our old school but the building is alot newer and nicer. We went to visit it last week and met our new teachers and the principle and they all were real nice. We still have to wear a uniform, but this school DOESNT SPANK! If you get in trouble they just send a note home or call your Mom (and THEN you get spanked!). Me and Max both think we are going to like the new school just fine but we are going to miss our friends alot! Some of the other people who work at the resort live in cabins like we do. Theres a lady a few cabins down that has a boy about Maxs age and another lady has a boy about 13 and a girl about 9 so we might have kids to hang out with and play with. This place is real cool! Since Mom works here we can eat in the lodge dining room if we want and when the pool opens in the spring we can swim if we want. The park near us is huge with lots of trails and places to camp and fish and there are these real tall cliffs and stuff. We think this is going to be a good place even if we are going to miss seeing Gage and Suri all the time. Mom said they could come visit when school was out and were really looking forword to that. Well I better go now. Mom wanted me and Max to clean our room up before she gets back so I better get Max so we can get it done or we will end up with a couple of red butts. See ya. Samson had to stay with Nana and Papa, but we got to bring Congo with us. Were going to miss Samson alot, but hes a big dog, and they wont let him stay in the cabin with us. Boy, this is a lot better than what we were thinking had happened to you guys! We were afraid that you guys were in trouble and were being punished with no computer again! Oh yeah, this is Levi, by the way, but my brothers are sitting here with me. We have big news here, too. Our Dad is having a big operation on his right shoulder tomorrow. And, after that, he has to stay in a rehabilitation hospital for 4 weeks with his arm in a sling! So, the good news is that we won't get any spankings from him for at least a month. But, the bad news is that we won't have him home for a month either. I guess there is no winning deal to be had on this. So, anyhow- we all want to wish you two a real Happy New Year! Mom told us to never go out hiking without an adult, because it's really easy to get lost.
