Because of "The Perfect Storm," our school was closed early and shut down on Tuesday and Wednesday. We always have "snow days" in the schedule, so these will count as those days for us.

We stayed home inside. Dad built a fire in the fireplace, because the house was getting cold due to electricity going out from time to time. We used a camping lantern for light while were played board games, Mom read us stories and we all snuggled under blankets and drank hot chocolate. The wind was blowing so loud it was real scary! Most of my brothers and older sister slept in my parents bed and bedroom, and I had some company too.

Yesterday morning, Dad went out to look for any damage to the house, and we were okay! But some of the plants and trees were kind of messed up, he said. He didn't let any of us go out with him, because he wanted to make sure it was safe before he let us out.

This morning we went out, and skateboarded for a while, but then it was time for lunch, and I wanted to post some stuff here!

We get a LOT of snow here in the winter. We didn't really get much last winter but we usually do. It's fun to ride the 4-wheelers in the snow though and use them to scoop the snow.
