I came in almost two hours past curfew yesterday and did not call my parents. Dad took my phone and sent me to bed.

I have already bought and paid for this one. It has sort of been building for a few days. I get in these modes where I guess I think, at 16, I am too big for the rules and I sort of test the waters.

It started Friday and continued all weekend. I have been defiant and disrespectful to Dad - passively so. Coming in late yesterday was sort of on purpose.

I am sorry, it is just something that happens.

Dad has been real tolerant and was just going to let losing my cell for a week or so stand but I sort of guess I talked myself in to a spanking this morning when Dad and I talked about the issue. I sort of got mouthy with him. He said he has had "enough of my attitude and disrespect and defiance and it ends tonight!"

We have agreed that the punishment will occur after dinner this evening. Dad has been dealing with other issues today. I am sort of scared right now. Dad has promised an "intense ordeal."

PS, I got my phone back - but for a price.
