Ugh!

I really don't want to say a lot. Dad and I had an agreement that there was some things I would not do and some places I would not go. It was for my own safety. I deceived Dad this afternoon and went anyway.

When I got home, he knew. Julie was involved as well. Her Mom called where Julie works to just innocently ask a question. Julie had left work early so we could be in this deception together. Her Mom freaked out when she found out Julie had been gone from work for almost 2 hours. It was downhill from there.

Dad had promised Caleb, Mark, Benji and I that getting grounded would not be used any more. When Dad told me I was grounded, I protested. His point to me was to ask, "How does it feel when someone does not keep their word?"

I am already serving a no TV restriction. Dad did not say how long I was to be grounded. He just said, "Until I can trust you again." I am just grounded to the house so it could be worse. Except for school, church and work, I am not allowed to go ANYWHERE. Dad also took my truck keys and my driver's license.

I am bummed. This is not shaping up to be a good month or year.

I actually have lots and lots of freedom. I truly do. But there is still a need to respect my parents and certain basic rules of the house.

I am very fortunate to have the freedoms and flexibility I have. But, i am still 16 and subject to authority.

Anyway, Dad and I talked last night and the punishments are lifted. Julie is also free!

It sucks to be grounded that's all I can say. sometimes i would rather get the spanking than be grounded. You got any idea how long it's going to last? that's even worse your dad won't tell you how long your grounded. Hang in there PJ. I guess you just got to tough it out.
