It was OK when I was younger but now it's kind of embarrassing. I get one from Mom and one from Dad. Mom comes in my room and wakes me up with a big birthday hug and then pulls the covers back and gives me quick "birthday swats" on my pajamma bottoms. It doesn't really hurt but it sure wakes me up! lol. In the afternoon, we usually have a party with my cousins and family coming over, and I get a birthday spanking then too. I always had a knack for doing questionable things and that day I decided to start a cake fight (later a food and presents fight), instead of blowing out the candles. The whole room was a complete and total disaster. Some parents came after work in business suits and, well, my parents told me that the dry cleaning bill was huge. I sort of remember the shocked look on my Mom's face when I had the fit- I threw the sweater away from me, and said that I had wanted a toy. What I really remember was the march to my bedroom as soon as everyone left the house. My Dad had the neck of my shirt in his hand and led me to my room. It wasn't a long walk, but I imagine I wished it was a few miles... I can't remember much else that happened after the door was slammed shut. (And, I do remember that.)
