I wish you all well with this "family friendly" endeavor. I thank you for listening to my concerns and the concerns of others.

Such groups as this can be valuable support for our children when properly monitored and maintained.

Thank you for your support. I do hope that this board will serve the function that you indicated. As the other forum exists for discussion of more sensitive material, I intend to do my best to keep this forum's content suitable for kids' viewing.

Please let me know immediately if you (or anyone else) ever see a post that is of concern, let me know the rationale for your objections, and I will review its approval.

If anyone has concerns at the outset, because of content that you may have seen on the other forum, you may post to this forum to my attention and request that your comments not be posted publicly. In your comments, you can let me know specifically the types of content that you would find objectionable. You may also post that publicly on the other forum so that others might also engage in a discussion of proper/improper content for this forum.

I hope this will continue to be a forum with which all, kids and their parents alike, will feel comfortable posting.

I want to echo the words of Pastor Pat here, and I am most hopeful that this will be a site where my younger children might have an opportunity to address their views on spanking. I am not aware of any other site that allows children under 12 years old to do so.
My children are all gifted and as a result, they are often rejected by their peers due to their academic abilities. I am hopeful that they might be able to meet some peers who are also spanked, and establish relationships from a common bond.My children a very excited to find this site!

I'm also see this as a potentially helpful place and I do hope that it will be closely moderated. Once my oldest is back from church camp, I'll let him know about it as he might be interested.

I would like to second the motion, as it were, of Patterson J. Sr. If this board manages to avoid the sensitive topics, it could be an invaluable resource. I grew up a while back (quite a while back) and we were just getting multiple tv channels in our region. We would watch shows just because they were coming in clear, even when we didn't like them. So the choices available now are quite different and perhaps there are too many choices. This sounds un-American but for young people, maybe some limits are useful. I see the Internet as an invaluable resource for adults but perhaps for tweens and under, restrictions are required and beneficial. So, Mr. Moderator, best wishes for your personal health and for the success of 228811 in a family friendly mode.
