As a boy, I started masturbating at about 13, doing it at least once a week, allways with a strong feeling of guilt..

This situation increased my fear of the yearly medical examination at school. It included a genital exam and I was afraid that the doctor would see (how?) that I masturbated. i was allways afraid that she would ask the question.

From 15 to 17, every year, as the doctor was checking my penis and testicles, the nurse did ask if I had had any sexual relations. On those three occasions, i answered "no", waiting with anxiety for the question on masturbation to come. It never came.

No doctor asked me about masturbation in the following years, but I was asked about masturbation in a three-hour interview with a female psychologist, as part as an exam to enter a bank. I was then 27 , had eventually found a girlfiriend and was feeling less guilty about masturbating. The psychologist asked me at what age I had started, if I was still doing it though I had a girlfriend, how often I did it, and so on; I guess the idea was to see how I would react to a very personal.question. Anyhow, I did not pass the exam.
