I just read that an introduction is necessary before a response to a pot will be approved by the moderator. I'm happy to do that.

My name is Jeff. I'm a professional now who served in the military for 20 years. I am 42 years old. I am married now for 20 years with two children. Both are boys - ages 17 and 14. The oldest was a "surprise" lol and the younger one planned.

I was spanked for discipline by my parents growing up, both parents when I was younger and by my Dad when I was a teenager. My Dad was career military.

In our household spanking is the only form of discipline used. I don't believe in grounding, loss of privileges, etc. That's for many reasons.

And, yes, I do believe that spanking works as well for a 17 year old as it does for a 7 year old. At least in our family.
