ATTIRE NEEDED
BEAUTY: 0-7 contestants can wear long or short dresses. This is a formal event. Off the rack dresses or custom made allowed. No glitz. Natural appearance. 8-up contestants should be in a long gown. Off the rack dress or custom made allowed. No glitz. Prom gowns, bridal gowns are good for this category. Dress should be age appropriate. Music will be provided for this event.
CASUALWEAR: This is strictly an off the rack outfit. This event gives the contestant the opportunity to show the judges their individual personality. No jeans or T-shirts allowed. You may remove jackets, vests, etc., but simply throw over your shoulder or drape over your arm. No tricks permitted. Music will be provided for this event.
SPORTSWEAR: This is a sports related outfit only. Examples: Baseball, Cheerleading, Swimming, Dance, Baton, etc. Anything goes here. Props are allowed and encouraged. You may provide your own music for this event only. All music must be cued and ready to play. Fast paced, energetic music will be available.
PHOTOGENIC: For this event you will have your picture taken as you exit the stage from your beauty competition. This photo will be used in determining the Grand Supremes, Mini Supremes and the age division photogenic winners.
OPTIONAL PHOTOGENIC: This event is an optional event. You may enter any size photo. 8 x 10 is a good size for judging. You may also use the photo taken to enter this optional. This must be a natural photo, professional or snapshot allowed.
GLAMOUR GIRL: This is an optional event and offers the opportunity to those who wish to compete as a total package. Pageant dresses, H/M allowed on all contestants. Lets see who can go from Natural to Nostalgic!
INTERVIEW: 8-up contestants should wear their Starwalk T-shirts (will receive at registration) and white shorts or skirts and white sneakers and socks. You will have a short interview with a panel of judges. We will not ask any questions that are not appropriate. Examples of some questions will be your hobbies, your favorite things, your pets, and your family.
CAREER WEAR: 0-7 contestants. This event is to replace interview for the younger contestants. They should wear an outfit that is career related. For example: Doctor, Veterinarian, and Policeman. Be creative with this outfit. You may use costumes or create your own outfits. Anything goes in this event. Have fun with this. Music will be provided or you may use your own. Music must be cued and ready to go.
