You were saved from that problem when Yuki tuned you in from under his anti-Niwa shield/coat. He simply pulled your mental ear up to his own. He was, understandably, blocking Hiroru and all of the local guardians and spirits from the conversation. He didn't seem to be letting Niwa in on it, either.*~+~
Neiren- Hey, pay attention.
Kazan- Can't. Angry.
Neiren- You don't look angry.
Kazan- Well I am. Sod off.
Neiren- Actually, I have a favor to ask you. You were Yue's best friend, yes?
Kazan- ...
Neiren- Then you know about that little charm he always kept hidden under his robes?
Kazan- He gave it to Deya.
Neiren- Yes, but it was a symbol of an agreement that we had made. He was going to help me with something.
Kazan- What's your point?
Neiren- I'd like to ask your help in his wake.
Kazan- That all depends on what you want.
Neiren- We just need you to be there when we finish what we're doing. We need, specifically, a male of Yularian descent- which makes you the last person that we could turn to.
Kazan- That doesn't tell me what you want. It just tells me what you want me to do.
Neiren- Long story short, we're trying to bring some things into this world from another one and we need you to act as the ferry.
Kazan- I'll think about it. I know damn well what you're trying to do and I'd REALLY rather not be involved, but if Yue agreed to it.... He must have believed in your cause.
Neiren- All I ask is that you consider it. Thank you.
~+~*The conversation ended then, and you felt your mental link shatter when Niwa brought her fist down on the back of Yuki's head in an attempt to get his attention. He lifted his head and stared at her for a moment before saying 'ouch,' but then he put his head back down. Niwa was clearly pissed about being ignored.*~+~
Niwa- WHY WON'T YOU ANSWER ME?!
Yuki- ...
~+~*You had probably never seen Niwa so upset.*~+~
Niwa- What, so it's not enough to kill my daughter but you have to PRETEND THAT I DON'T EXIST EITHER?!
~+~*You heard something snap off in the distance, and Hiroru and all of the creatures camping out in the bar promptly took off in search of a hiding place. Yuki's fingers dug into the table hard enough to carve out grooves, as he slowly stood up and pulled his coat back into its normal position. He stepped out to one side, and stared down at Niwa. You couldn't read any emotion on his face, but he radiated anger.
Neiren was in the doorway- you heard him swear, and then watched as he climbed into the nearest tree.*~+~
Yuki- I. Did. Not. Kill. Her.
Niwa- THEN WHY WON'T YOU TELL ME WHERE SHE IS?!
Yuki- ...
Niwa- SURE you didn't fucking kill her! Just like you didn't kill Kaze!
~+~*You saw her face go blank as everything around you evaporated. Every wall, table, and chair that made up the bar broke into billions of pieces and vanished into the air as Yuki's hair turned white again. Niwa backed up a few paces, obviously in a state of terror.*~+~
Niwa- I-I-I'm sorry, Yuki.... I didn't mean it.....
~+~*You weren't QUITE sure what kept him from killing her, but he managed to hold his temper long enough to make the decision to just walk away. He turned, and after about three steps, he vanished into the air.
Niwa sank down to her knees, staring at the empty space where he had been. Kazan govered above you as the other creatures began to come out of hiding, and Daypaw set to restoring the building.*~+~
