~+~*Ilia, Jayke, and Auden remained sitting at the samae table that they had gathered at after Ialon's last incident. They stared blankly into the wood surface of the table, none of them saying anything for the longest time as their black wings reminded them all of their fates. On the other side of the bar sat their opposing group, consisting of more people. Treyvan, Yumi, Khrys, and Kioku sat with Maiko, Kaeyana, Kaia, Jaysen, Morgan, and Kibelle. At the table immediately beside them, Naoki and Draeven sat with Eiji, Aya, and Kounai. The newest member of the group sat impatiently, tapping his foot. He glanced over at the group of three, new thoughts dancing through his eyes. Finally, on both sides of the bar, both people of Kirian descent stood up and left their groups- coming together in the center of the room.*~+~
Kounai- Why didn't you tell me?! You had YEARS to tell me what you saw coming!
Ilia- It wasn't my fault, or in case you forgot, everybody called me crazy when I mentioned my visions! Heretics weren't seen in as good a light as the followers were, Patron!
Kounai- Don't call me that, you have no idea what it was like to get thrown in there like a doll!
Ilia- And YOU have no idea what it was like to actually BECOME a doll when all of the higher powers decided that I had to blow up our home!
Kounai- You killed the rest of the circle!
Ilia- Not through any choice of my own, so back off! At least I didn't spend half of my life avoiding my past!
~+~*Both of them took a step back, staring at each other intently. With the attention of both groups drawn, they stood in a deadlock for a long time. Then, just as suddenly as it had started, the confrontation ended- as the hate and anger drained from their eyes.*~+~
Ilia- What's happened to us...?
Kounai- What do you think? I'm an eyerling, and you're....
Ilia- Meant to kill you. I know, but.... What happened to US, Kounai, what happened to US.
Kounai- I don't know.... This is one of those trials that you never expect your friendship to be put through.... It's not everyday that you get taken from your home and forced into a position of high power...
Ilia- This isn't right. We were best friends not a month ago... Why can't we get along with each other now? We have all the time in the world to waste, but we haven't even acknowledged each others presence....
Kounai- Because our positions in life are now very different.... We're here to kill each other, thats what we amount to right now.
Ilia- At least your superiors care for you.
~+~*As if on que, three red feathers appeared in the air, and slowly drifted down to the table where Ilia's group had been sitting. The three dark-winged individuals stared at them blankly for a moment.*~+~
Kounai- ...You have to go.
Ilia- ...Yeah.... Either that or I'll be reduced to a marionette again.... I'll be back. We can fix this then.
~+~*Ilia turned, and returned to his table. He picked up one of the feathers as Auden and Jayke did the same, and then the three of them vanished. Kounai stayed in his place, but turned back to Draeven and Naoki.*~+~
Kounai- They're going after them, aren't they.
Draeven- A new Eyerling is waiting. They will try to kill her and those around her, so yes.
Kounai- ....There's nothing I can do?
Naoki- I wouldn't say that. You aren't the only person here who owes them a favor.
Kounai- I'm not....
~+~*A revelation came to him then, as he turned away from the white-clad Eyerlings and Guardians to view those clad in black.*~+~
Kounai- May i ask a favor? I need to borrow someone....
Kibelle- Consider it done.
~+~*Kibelle and Kounai both vanished.*~+~
