 we dont really know much about what happens, but we know that they keep their souls.... but they do loose their spirits. and without a spirit, the soul has no life... and we have no idea where they go after they disapear into the forest. they may be taken, they may just leave, or they may vanish into the ocean...... or they end up getting killed by the antlion, but the desert is pretty far to walk....
