It's a nice car, I really like it. It would be much more fun to drive if it were RWD, though. The car definitely understeers a lot more than a RWD version would. I'm so jealous/annoyed that the 3.0L version was available in Canada. I wish I could get one here.

Yesterday as I was driving the XiT, I thought that when/if I get a commuter car in a year or two, a 2000 or so 323iT or newer 325iT could be a very reasonable choice. We've been to Home Depot and similar stores in the XiT a couple of times, and we're still very conscious about putting potentially dirty cargo in the back of the "nice" car. I'd be happy with a 5-speed RWD touring to commute in and be less concerned about getting dirty.
