Subject: HELP!!!! Car won't start

OK. I got the new 325is ('89) and fixed the oil leaks resolved. The new clutch is installed, the new UUC short shift kit is installed. All the seals in the tranny and rear main seal have been replaced. And the oil pan gasket has been replaced and resealed. Everything is buttoned back up and it won't start. It is definitely electrical as the the starter will not even turn over. I hear clicking in the relays that are on the driver's side fender, but nothing.

Here are my concerns: The car has an aftermarket alarm that was installed by the owner, and it developed a drain at one point and they unhooked it. Based on that, this is the first time I unhooked the battery and put it back on and my fear is that the alarm has some security feature that it needs to be reset prior to allowing the car to start.
