Subject: Front Tow Hooks, please help

I just bought a factory MTech 1 front spoiler, brand new, and for some reason it only has one prefabricated hole for the right tow hook (btw, euro cabrios had two tow hooks in the front prior to the plastic bumper ones). The BMW agent is checking with BMW Germany on this but the car is getting resprayed now and the spoiler needs to go on. The BMW mechanic who services my car said these are useless on an automatic 320i because even if it is towed it would be done from the rear axles, and since my car is now lowered and will have an even lower spoiler that it will have to be loaded onto a truck instead of being towed.......therefore, he recommends just cutting off the one left tow hook since it's useless & cannot fit through the new spoiler....what do you guys think??? Thanks for your comments!
