Subject: Ok, so i stripped an intake and exaust off an "i".

Everything. TB, intake manifold, exaust manifold, entire exaust system. That throttlebody is HUGE compared to mine, the manifolds are slightly bigger also. THe only downside is I will have to get the vaccum hoses for a 325i because all the hose ports on this manifold and TB are different.

I also got the 027 ecu so I can put the Jim C chip in my Eta.

My question is should I clean and polish all the soot out of the manifold, and if so what should I use? I also will strip all the crap off the manifolds and downpipes and want to seal them in that silver manifold paint; what should it clean them off with (there is some surface rust on the exaust manifold)?

And I haven't gotten a response from Redbaron yet; those that have done this to their Eta's, what did it do?

TIA
Ryan
