i had that problem but yet also i was under a LOT of consistent, heavy acceleration as my engine is lacking the power it should have, and Texan highway drivers aren't always consistent, nor do they mind the limit. Sometimes you are matching mass traffic that drives about an average 80 mph or so. Should I still not be running up to 3/4? my thermostat is new and opens 5 degrees cooler, and my fan clutch is new and working quite well. radiator received some fin damage (flattening) in my wreck, the fan blades from the old fan were jammed into the engine-side of the radiator. Normal driving never causes it to approach 3/4 even remotely, and at most during normal driving it will only go just past the middle point. Otherwise it's right on or just below it.
