Subject: Strange rev limit with old Dinan Chip

I have a pre-'93 Dinan chip in the eta. The rev limit for this chip is 5400rpm. If I get on the throttle pretty hard, the limiter will bounce @ approx 4700-4750. If I do a nice easy acceleration, the limiter will bounce @ 5400 rpm like the chip is supposed to do. This 800 rpm difference does make a difference in an eta especially running a 3.73LSD. It doesn't make much sense to have the raised limiter if you can't take advantage of it when you want it. Dinan doesn't have any answers for me. Maybe it is time to switch chips?
