Yeah, Italy has been cursed with bad luck, especially Totti's 2nd yellow, which was a bad call....Although he wasn't fouled, since the Korean defender definitely contacted the ball first, he did dramatize the challenge, which probably caused the ref to give the yellow...Anyhow the Italians are renowned for overdramatizing!!

The Brazilians have alot going for them, including their amazing individual skill levels. For instance, in their 3 prior World Cup matches against England, Brazil drew and won the last two, and in all went on to win the Cup. Also, their fan support is tremendous around the world so we can expect a mostly yellow stadium.

On the other hand England is playing well and have only allowed 1 goal thus far. A strong defense is key against Brazil...but it doesn't end there as England has a great striking force in Owen, Heskey, and don't forget Beckham & Scholes. Also, Brazil has looked weak in defense, especially against Belgium. The English also have a large number of supporters, even me, since we all love the Premiership, so with the help of the Sheffield Weds. band & all the fans chanting "God Save the Queen" maybe it'll spur them on to victory. Sven has done an unbelievable job with the England squad and I'm sure he'll be granted "Knighthood" soon after the tournament is completed!!

Nevertheless, it should be a great match and if England can pull it off, I'm not sure anyone could stop them from a long awaited success at the World Cup.

Regarding Fatherland vs. Libertyland, I agree that Germany is more likely to win....buuuuttttt....so was Portugal...and so was Mexico...and we were the only team that didn't lose to S. Korea (1-1 draw). This is a year of upsets and we have nothing to lose...If US plays their best and don't open gaping holes in their defense (like against Portugal) then we can win. Germany is a great side...I just hope they don't play to their ability on Friday night!!!!!! :)
