Subject: Huffing and puffing

My car has always bucked back and forward when under hard accerleration, and it does this even more when im in the lower rpms. this isnt the result of the manual transmission making the car shake after i shift. a few days ago i cleaned the plugs and air filter and the problem went away for about a day, but then now its back to normal, bucking back and forth. when i say this, its like i accelerate, but then if feels like a gust of wind is coming at my car, and like slowing it down (even though there is no wind) but the rpms still stay high and un interupted. anyone have some situation like this? my dad also said it could be my injectors or even my timing. anyone? also, my car putts around and has a sort of uneven idle when its not warmed up, it huffs and puffs and sounds like a deisel engine on a train.
