I think I know the guy you are refering to. His name is Chuck Missler, and he doesn't believe they were aliens, he believes the nephilim of old are the demons or beings that are causing those so called, "alien sitings and abductions" that are happening now. I don't buy his stuff either, but it is an interesting theory and makes a little sense once he explains it.
