Universal Announces
"Red, White and Rockforever" Concerts
Classic Rockers Record Patriotic Classics,
To Appear Live at CityWalk
(Orlando, Florida) - 13 Classic Rock stars, collectively known as the "Voices of Classic Rock," who have just recorded "Voices For America" a patriotic CD to benefit the American Red Cross and the USO in the face of September 11th's tragedy, will join Universal CityWalk at Universal Orlando in a celebration of American music and freedom for 13 consecutive weeks beginning on Friday, October 5, 2001.
The concert series, known as "Red, White, and Rockforever" will feature each star individually in free performances Friday evenings on the outdoor stage at CityWalk.
The "Red, White, and Rockforever" concerts will free to the public, but "Voices For America" CD's will be available for sale and signature by the individual Artists, with the proceeds benefiting the Red Cross and USO. The unique recording features two generations of classic rock lead vocalists, from three different nations, in their collective renditions of classic American patriotic anthems including "America the Beautiful" and "The Battle Hymn of the Republic."
The Artists who have contributed their time and talent to this landmark project, in their scheduled order of appearance at Universal Studios, include:

October 12 -- Dave Jenkins of Pablo Cruise
October 19 -- John Cafferty of John Cafferty and the Beaver Brown Band
October 26 -- Peter Rivera of Rare Earth

November 9 -- Spencer Davis of the Spencer Davis Group
November 16 -- Alex Ligertwood of Santana
November 23 -- Nick Gilder
November 30 -- Pat Travers of the Pat Travers Band

December 14 -- Glenn Hughes of Deep Purple
December 21 -- Bobby Kimball of Toto
December 28 -- Joe Lynn Turner of Rainbow and Deep Purple
The Concerts will feature electric unplugged play of each respective Artist's greatest hits, in addition to renditions of the patriotic classics on the "Voices For America" release, and interactive interviews with audience questions, e-mail questions, and Host - Artist interaction. Larry Hoppen, lead singer of Orleans and Musical Director of the Voices of Classic Rock (and an Orlando resident) will co-host the series. Each concert will be posted worldwide to the Internet via Rockforever.com.
