Indianapolis was a great show on St. Patrick's Day! The guys changed the set list around a bit and eliminated "Notorious" but added a really cool part. Mike and Doug did a duet with Mike singing "Heaven in Your Eyes" and "This Could Be the Night". I was totally taken with "Heaven" because it is one of my favorite songs. I don't think I have ever heard them do that in concert before. It was a real treat and I shed just the slightest tear while listening. People started to slow dance while he was singing. Mike's vocals were right on, and I truly believe he is singing better than ever these days. Not that he was bad before, because he wasn't. He is a true superstar, and a class act.

One funny thing happened...Spider's bass amp blew up and caught on fire! The guys did not miss a beat! Here's this big ol' flame shooting up from the amplifier...and the show did not stop. They were throwing anything liquid on it to douse the flames, and the band played on. True talent there! After the show, I told Spider that he was just s-s-s-smokin' on the bass that night! He got a kick out of that.

The club was about 3/4 full, but from what I understand, this was a last minute booking for the show. The crowd was totally into it, and the green beer was flowing freely. Can't wait to see them again real soon!
