Turning Stone Casino
Verona, New York
June 28, 2002

The first thing I have to say is that this is a beautiful venue for a show. Big stage, nice lighting system, great acoustics.......just a great place to see the boys live. However, the management of the casino is a different story and once again,
we were pretty well done out of any photographs (although we were able to sneak a few towards the end of the show......see the Photos section for new additions.)

It had been just over a year since the last time I saw the guys play but let me tell you, it was well worth the wait!!! They opened the show with a great version of "The Kid Is Hot Tonite" and the evening just rocked right from the start. They have mixed the set list up a bit but played all the greats...Lucky Ones, Turn Me Loose, Workin', Take Me to the Top, Notorious, When It's Over,
Teenage Overdose, Lovin', Jump, Lady of the 80's, Hot Girls In Love all the while dabbling a bit with the covers, Riders On The Storm, Come Together and Superstitious. The highlight of the show for me was finally getting to see Mike and Doug perform, just a hauntingly beautiful version of "Heaven In Your Eyes". I hadn't seen that song played live since 1986 and it was such
a treat to hear it done again....especially such an awesome version.

The whole show really felt like this incredible jam session.....they were just in a great groove on Friday night. My only disappointment was that they didn't play Prissy Prissy (personal fave)...although they did do a bluesy teaser of it in the middle of Lovin'. Guess I will just have to be satisfied with that until the next time...less than a month and I can't wait!!
