A very good friend of mine has told me more than once that a relatively new FM radio station in Red Deer (Alberta) called "The Drive" which is more or less a "classic" radio station, plays a lot of songs from the '80's. Including (and I quote! She says that she hears...) "...a LOT of Loverboy" on it. She then went on to e-mail me a couple of stories from the local newspaper about how The Guess Who will be playing at the Westerner (R.D.'s Annual Summer Fair)at the Centrium. This will The Guess Who's SECOND time playing in R.D. since their big tour in 2000. The other article was about Blue Rodeo who also just played at the Centrium. So with this new station doing it's part by playing "a lot of Loverboy", I don't see why Loverboy can't/shouldn't play in Red Deer again. Aside from the Centrium, the college there has a gorgeous Performing Arts Center....not to mention other live-music venues. I do hope that the guys will make a stop in Red Deer again one day and give the Red Deer fans the chance to KNOW that they are in town. (I'm sure it will be MUCH better the next time......). Without a doubt, I would definitely make the 3 hour drive to my hometown to see ya the next time!!!!! (Something I was unable to do the last time......).
