Loverboy is ONE of the biggest. American sales-wise, the best selling band out of Canada is Rush, with a little over 30 million albums sold in the U.S.. I know "Get Lucky" did six million here in the States, "Keep It Up" did three million, and "Lovin' Every Minute Of It" went platinum, so I suspect the 23 million that's quoted is worldwide. However, I have noticed favorable reviews for recent Loverboy shows in the Canadian press, and if the Canadian Music Hall of Fame is chosen like the American Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (that is, by journalists), then we might all be pleasantly surprised one of these days ...

As for the MTV thing, don't sweat it. Loverboy wasn't the only group to get shafted on the anniversary show--what about Duran Duran? And there hasn't been enough scandal in Loverboy's history to do a good BTM on VH1.

Forget about Halls of Fame and TV specials--I just want them to play Virginia sometime!
