Hi everyone,

Well, like all of you, I am reeling and recovering from last week's events and it has made me do a lot of reassessing.

It is a little too close to home to me and surreal that several of the terrorists were living not 4 miles from my office here in Delray Beach, Florida. While I am not a native Floridian, I am still stunned that heartless subhumans walked among myself, my family and my neighbors. It's disturbing in that regard in that I should have done "something."

Anyway, give generous and often to all charities involved (Red Cross, United Way, etc) and make sure you fly your flag.

But also, make a difference in your own back yard..
Hug your spouse twice as much as you did before and reach out often to each other. Hug your kids a little harder and never let a day go by without telling them how much you love them. Make an effort to connect with co-workers and old friends and neighbors, just to say "hi" and "thinking about you." Even if you don't know them well or even like them or respect them a great deal, now is the time to put aside petty differences and be united.

I agree with earlier assessments on the board that we need to put all of our faith and trust in God and give all of our greatest prayers and blessings to our President (God Bless George Bush) and his expert team to what's best for this nation and our allies. I have every confidence and faith that we will come out of this stronger, better and united.

This is the unfortunate flip-side of the coin of good fortune that we have been able to ride for the last few years. Perhaps if there is any bright spot to all of this...this terrible tragedy has given the much-needed pause and kick in the behind that many of us need to remember what is REALLY important in this world.

My thoughts and good wishes to all and also to our many Canadian friends here. Despite a different flag and a separate government, we live within invisible borders of brotherhood, love and and pride of country.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!

Kathleen
Palm Beach, Florida
