Subject: Where we're coming from!

Fade in…

It is the afternoon of Wednesday October 27. The Scene opens with an aerial shot of the Cold Steel tour bus, which is sporting a brand new TTSWF logo. The bus known as Steel Wheels is cruising through the rolling heartland of America. Farmers pause in their labors, taking time to wave and are always rewarded with a blast from the mighty ARRRUUUGGGHHH horn. Townsmen and their children come out from shops and places of work to stare. The Unstoppable Force journeys past farms and fields, cities and small towns. Steel Wheels rolls on relentlessly toward Denver and Friday Night Explosion. They stop occasionally to sign autographs, sometimes for a single man sometimes for a group of fifty. As inexorable as a tidal wave sweeping westward there is no doubt in anyone’s mind, Cold Steel is coming to the Mile High City.

As darkness falls they cross the mighty Mississippi river, and the camera closes in on a lighted window… Nightshade is zonked on one of the couches, Greg is fiddling with the radio, and Bobby is just watching the scenery whiz by.

GD: Arrgh! There’s nothing any good on this damn thing!

BM: Not to over simplify… but why don’t you but in a CD? I have Great Big Sea’s Up right here.

All right toss it here… I was in a mood for a little Sabbath or Korn though.

That’s harsh stuff for a mellow night like this.

I’m getting psyched for the match! These guys should give us some real competition.

They are decent wrestlers all right but they’ve never wrestled as a team before. You know it kind of amazed me that they give us so little respect.

I know we’ve proven ourselves, but we haven’t proven ourselves here. This is our seventh world tag title reign. So what! We still have to go out there and kick ass day in and day out. That is how we’ll prove that we are true champions.

I know you’re right. But it still pisses me off. Vengeance must have had a hand in DF even being in this tournament. Man… a team that has never wrestled anybody even halfway decent… You know… so they hang out in burned down churches and graveyards and stuff. Oooohhh. I’m scared. Have ‘em work a few weeks in number seven-drop forge then they’ll know what it’s all about. You know what I’m talking about. I remember the day Dougie McKeckren fell into The Transfer… They cleaned what was left of him up with a penknife. I bet they’ve never really seen death. They probably don’t even know that the (relatively) cold human body explodes when is comes into contact with molten metal. We’ve seen the elephant… Have they? Doubt it.

I hear ya. We’ll just have to teach them a thing or two tomorrow! Hey at least we don’t have to worry about their buddies.

Not with Jake and the boys around. It sure is nice to have people you can depend on when things get thin. Hey turn that up! That’s my favourite song.

Process Man

And it's go boys go.
They'll time your every breath.
And every day you're in this place,
you're two days nearer death.
But you go.

Well a process man am I and I'm telling you no lies.
I work and breath among the fumes that tread across the sky.
There's thunder all around me and there's poison in the air.
There's a lousy smell that smacks of hell and dust all in me hair.

And it's go boys go.
They'll time your every breath.
And every day you're in this place,
you're two days nearer death.
But you go.

Well I've worked among the spinners and I breathed the oily smoke.
I shoveled up the gypsum and that nyon makes you choke.
I've knee deep in cyanide got sick with a caustic burn.
Been working rough I've seen enough to make your stomach turn.

And it's go boys go.
They'll time your every breath.
And every day you're in this place,
you're two days nearer death.
But you go.

There's overtime and bonus opportunity galore.
The young men like their money and they all come back for more.
But soon you're knock'n on and you look older than you should.
For every bob made on the job is paid with flesh and blood.

That song says it all. That is who we are and where we are from. Degeneration F had better bring the whole boatload ‘cause not only do we have Nightshade behind us we have every working man out there. They do nine to five in hellholes around the world… Why? To put food on their families table… To put clothes on their backs… To send their kids to University… Not for recognition or notoriety because it is the right thing to do… For all the guys working the swing shift… that’s why we go into that ring every night. So boys bring it all.

Fade out…
