Jim Rizoli nails the issue of "Fair Use" On the FramGov forum.
Obviously he has no problem that I repost his whole post.
The conversation starts with Linda D, of course her viewpoint of everything is narrow and sometimes ever changing and sometimes nonsense.

The issue dealing with the videotaping of Pam Richardson was an embarrassment to the Democratic Party. Of ALL the issues plaguing Americans, especially in Framingham, State Rep, at that time, Pam Richardson could have picked any variety of subjects. Housing for the elderly, jobs, taxes, you name it. Pam Richardson Picked ALL issues dealing with Illegals aliens, Instate tuition, Licenses for Illegal aliens and even voting for illegal aliens. Pam Richardson signed her political suicide and through Media, especially the Radio, her lunacy was exposed and she wasn't re elected. Norman Shulman did her dastardly deeds to STOP anything exposing this, and as such claimed "copyright infringement".
What she did was despicable as a media person.

But in the end we won and got a nutjob out of office and the town put more nutjobs in especially in their view of Illegal aliens. Of course helping illegal aliens is a Jewish thing so the politicians actually are following the agenda of the Jews going back to the 1920's. THEY ruined the Immigration laws in America. Go look up any of Kevin McDonalds works on the Jews and the Immigration Laws.

Just to let you know that we have what is called a Fair Use Laws in this
country.
Title 17 USC 107
"Not withstanding the provisions of sections 106 and 106A, the fair use of a
copyrighted work, including such use by reproduction in copies or phonorecords
or by any other means specified by that section, for purposes such as
criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching (including multiple copies for
classroom use), scholarship, or research, is not an infringement of
copyright......"

So in other words if you put something up on the internet your words or
whatever are fair game.
This is what is happening with your comments.
If you object with the law then I suggest you don't comment.
If we went by what some of you want we wouldn't have any news today as
everything that is said or videoed is copyrighted material being used under
this Fair Use Law.
To see how people abuse the law for selfish censorship, some years ago took a
video of Former State Rep Pam Richardsons Democratic Meeting expose' recorded
by a local Democratic party member of her platform wanting to help the illegals
in oh so many ways, and got it on the web. It went viral and got a lot of
press, which was responsible for her not being elected again.
Now mind you this is a public meeting of a politician speaking.
The person who videotaped it claimed copyright infringement.
Can you imagine if all political meetings had to deal with those issues.
Complete nonsense!
There wouldn't be any news because the people videotaping would cry "Copyright
Infringement" especially if the subject said something stupid, which is what
was done in this case.
Like I said, if you post on the web WE have the right to use it under the Fair
Use Act.
