I had the same feelings you did Kathy. Anytime my mother syringed me or my sister the other was usually around for the show be it slow bulb insertions and numerous injections of soapy water or a full bag or warm suds. Mother would always take rectal temperatures anytime an enema was given.

Now in my 60's enemas are usually self administered though I was able to give a couple enemas to a neighbor lady and she returned the favor. We were both rather embarrassed the very first time we shared. She does still call on me from time to time.
