I was speaking with a young woman recently who had a very similar experience. The main difference was she got a belt whipping instead of a paddling.

My mom didn't give punishment enemas. I wouldn't be surprised if my husband got a punishment like this. He was raised by a grandmother and aunt, both of whom believed in enemas as a cure-all even for bad behavior. He got his share of punishment enemas (and spankings) although I don't have a lot of details.
