Enemas are my favorite topic.

My washer broke recently. When was at laundry mat talked with another mom. She is around my age 60+

Somehow we started talking about old remedies. And got to enemas.

She told me her mom, aunts, babysitter gave enemas in her home when growing up.

Loved it when she told she was given a bulb enema about twice a month. The pan of warm soapy water would be sitting on the kitchen table. Along with a towel.
She be called or gotten and taken to where the enema was going to be given. Which, like me, was on the kitchen table. when getting syringed sometimes another mom would be there. They would talk about anything when she was getting the enema.
Her aunt thought the enema was a cure all for most ills.
Her younger cousin was given enemas often.
Back then it was no big deal. Seemed most moms thought an enema was the best remedy to give.
