As far as enema/douche nozzles go, the manufacturers of those various Fountain and Combination Syringes have designed different sizes and shapes for their unique products. As a former collector of vintage equipment, I have bought and sold, or gifted most of the older types. I actually kept one that is curved, black, and about 8" long. I suspect it was included in a foreign product.

The shape, flutes, and holes were designed to spray solution in different patterns, ostensibly to avoid possibly penetrating delicate internal tissues. For certain enema/douche aficionados, the patterns provide some different sensations.

As an equipment fetishist, this began quite early in life as mom and grandma utilized quite a few pieces of gear as our family was subjected to the treatments. After they passed on, certain items were retained as part of the historic collection. While the delivery of a solution is pretty consistent regardless of the delivery system, the visual and psychological aspects have provided a degree of ambience.
