I can't help but wonder if a significant percentage of participants in this forum are older women in their seventies who grew up with parents who had an unhealthy fixation on bowel hygiene and/or potential if not outright constipation?

Worse, the fact that some of our participants were apparently subjected to enemas in the company of other people not associated with the immediate family sounds like an unnecessary assault on their personal dignity - one that might well be deemed illegal these days.

Even more bizarre and disturbing is the fact that enemas and/or suppositories were employed as a form of punishment. Wow! Time to call in Child Protective Services in this day and age.

Don't get me wrong - since I was introduced to enemas in a sensuous and loving way - I've totally come to appreciate them from a purely pleasurable standpoint.

To degrade the experience by using enemas for humiliation and/or punishment is just plain wrong, and the possibility that it might continue to be perpetuated by some participants in this forum is at the very least disturbing.

As for this silly and frankly unhealthy focus on daily bowel movements - go do a little research. What's normal varies from one person to the next. Chronic constipation is an issue for some, but it can also be induced through the overuse and abuse of enemas and laxatives
