[OOC- *Sigh* Sorry about that. I had a lot of work all of last and this week, so I was unable to post. Plus, once again, I had a writer's block. Basically...I was in no mood to come here and write out a thing. Sorry, it happens occasionally to me.]

< The simple narration of the tale which had occured over a lengthy time dug with painful purpose into his chest, where his heart beat its own lonely tune that had been long ignored and forgotten by the mind. Her stare he could not hold with constitution strong, and so he broke away to stare at his clenched claws. >

< "I've missed so much." He whispered quietly, his tongue rasping gently over his roughened lips. "So many have gone, so many others have changed..." Why did I ever come back at all...? He thrust that thought quickly to one side, but it lingered with the sweet bitterness of a false realization, melodramatic and so tempting to believe. >

< He looked up gradually, his eyes holding a smile that could be called even 'emotionless'. Blank...the blankness of one trying to be blank, failing miserably, and trying again. He was older, but not much older. He knew more than he had when he had left, but he was not much wiser. Experience had not softened the grief of loneliness. >

< "Thank you." His smile turned warmer, reaching to look into her gaze. "I truly appreciate it." >
