*The black stallion prances in elegantly, his neck arched and his steps high and proud. He nickers a greeting to the other horses. Thoughtfully he bends his head, and muscles ripple under a coal black coat. His dark eyes survey his surroundings, and shine with untapped wisdom. The hot sun shines down, warming him. Restlessly he plunges forward. He throws himself into the ripping, torrenting waves. His life is in the hands of nature for seconds as he struggles to find the rythmm of the ocean. He paddles furiously, using the stores of energy in his youthful body. His muscles bulge and elax as he goes further out to sea. The waves toss him back and forth and he is at the mercy of God. He turns rapidly, and lunges toward shore. He feels the soft sand under his hooves, and struggles onto shore. He lowers his head, breathing hard, and water and sweat streak his body and drips off his forelock. He rests. Then turns and gazes at the unmerciful body of water, lost in deep thoughts
