Hi Grace,
I have not seen the book you mentioned. But I have seen a
copy of the book about James Adams, husband of Frances Herndon, and his descendants. I can't remember the exact name of the book but it was put together by Chloe Adams Whitehead. I may be wrong about that name too. I copied some pages from the book, but evidentally I didn't copy the
pages with Chloe's name and the title of the book. All of
James' and Frances' children are named in the book along with their grandchildren, and James' other two wives he had after Frances died. In a letter to "The Messenger", a Primitive Baptist publication, William Adams, one of James'
son, states that James was born in Franklin County, VA, on March 5, 1795, and moved to Elbert county, GA, in 1818 or 19. He married Frances in 1820 and shortly after that, James and Frances moved to Jasper county.

Do you know if there are anymore copies of "The Adams & Stricklands of Coldwater Creek, Elbert County, Georgia"?
I would love to read it.

Ginger
