Subject: James Adams

In researching my roots I have come to a roadblock. I am searching for the parents of John A. Adams who is my g-g-grandfather. John was born in S. Carolina in 1817 and married a Miss Mary Francis Chandler on Jan. 25, 1848 in Gilmer Co., Georgia. They had ten children, one of which was my g-grandfather, Louis M. Adams. I have been told that John's father's name was James and that's the only lead I have to go on. I am praying someone can steer me in the right direction. I thank you for your time.
